Is it possible to have a career in interior design, and then add on with being a real estate agent?
I may want to major in interior design (and then start a career with it), but my parents say that they think it’s a bad idea because it doesn’t pay very well. I thought about maybe adding something like real estate so I can make a little more money. Is it possible to be an interior designer and a real estate agent?

If you are good at it you actually can make money, my daughter got her diploma in Interior Design and a one hour consult was between $80 and $125 per hour, which is double or triple what I get as a teacher.
There is no reason that you cant combine both, and a good eye for detail/colour etc would help you sell vendors properties as you could talk up ideas or make recommendations to assist with the sale.
