What are your thoughts on Estate Agents/Real Estate Agents?
I am involved in the setting up of a new Estate Agents in the South of England and I wanted to do some research into peoples experience as I want to help create an Estate Agent which is truely different. What makes a good Estate Agent? What makes a bad Estate Agent? Tales of good experiences or bad experiences welcome. What do you want from an Estate Agent when they are selling your home?

Most agents I use basically show up and type in a few words in a P&S agreement and are completely useless. I really think genuine concern and personalized service is really going to set ou aside from some of money grubbing agants out there
Make sure your agents take the courses/classes for Code of Ethics, etc. The more available they are the better agent they are to their buyers/sellers.
I would never buy from an agent that is also the listing agent. Too much of a conflict of interest. People really want an agent that is exclusive to them, someone that they feel has their best interest at heart.

Hello, I’m an agent in the USA. I think being thorough and following up with clients is very important. Always return calls right away and let clients know they are very important. Keep in touch after the sale and I always give a gift at closing!
