Can my mortgage company remove “attorney fees” if they wanted to (I have the money to catch up, not the fees)?
I am 76 days late. I now have the money to catch up. Will my mortgage company remove the so called “attornies fees” ($2800!!!!!) if I tell them to remove them or else no more money and keep the house? It would be a total bluff, I love my house. The 2800 in fees seems like a scam.

no scam as they sent it to an atty to start foreclosure proceeding on you and they are not free. They may instate the loan and work out a forbearance agreement with you for the balance owed
suggestion;
send them a cashier’s check with a letter attached, and
the check endorsed; thusly:
cashing of this check denotes that the endorser and casher
accepts that the mortgage is considered up to date, not
late and is in good standing.
Under no other circumstances is this cashier’s check
cash able.
make sure you keep a copy of the endorsement. IF they
cash it and ignore the endorsement, you may sue
them for fraud and breach of contract [the endorsement
constitutes a contract.]
