The worst thing happening is that the prices of housing are dropping. This makes the banks nervous because a person’s property could be valued less now that what they have borrowed. Now the bank will either foreclose on the property or raise the interest rates causing several hard working people to lose their homes. On the bright side it is a good time to pick up good bargains in the stock market or get a home cheaper than it was a year ago.
